What a week. On DA that is. My life out in the real world... well, less said. Nothing disastrous, but not worth talk about either. So let's talk about something worth our time. The posts for this week. You guys showed up for the posts this week.

First up the honorable mention from Sunday.

I think I should give this another shot when I get better paper that is meant to work with water. But I still appreciate everyone who thought that I put in a good effort for that weekend's project.

Like the setting sun, Monday came unavoidably.

I saw a version of a Venus Flytrap. Hence the name. The 'middle' second does remind a bit of Elizabethan neck wear. The faded edges on it was a nice thing that came about from trying different colours.

Now you are prepared for Tuesday.

I was not prepared for the amount of attention that Tuesday's post got. My normally quite phone keep pinging with each fave through out Wednesday during work. I totally blame the unintentional illusion that it's from any large collection of trees. But I can believe that is and I'm very happy with how this came out.

Half way there, but what is there for Wednesday?

We have arrived at the line in the sand and we are crossing it. The knowing of Friday being only two days away had me posting two Sterling2 fractals in a row. I apologized in the post. I'm also not happy that it was two green fractals too. Oh well.

Shaking hands with Thursday.

Well, you may not want to actually touch this one. But I've been informed by @guzzlordnut that it's a harmless Crane Fly.

The end is nigh. Friday arrives.

It looks like the fractal was more prepared for a party than I was. It seems to have survived the misfortune of being posted on Friday to get 22 faves and made the week a clean sweep. No, I'm not including Sunday. 😏

5 Out Of 5!

So what I have you today is water color, soft pastels and a smidgen of marker and color pencil.

I stumbled across an instagram of something I called stupidly easy for making a dandelion with water color. I didn’t have any of my own, so I bought some cheap watercolors while I was out yesterday.

My first mistake was using the wrong brush. Then I forgot a step that really altered the look of the dandelion. I thought I found a fix, but it was only half successful.

Then when I was thinking of trying again, I saw another vid in my search and stubbed my noise at how half of it Was made.I don’t know how to link instagram posts here yet, but if you do a search for watercolor dandelions, you will see better versions of these two.

This was the one I set out to make at first. I used the wrong brush, black marker for the lines and watercolor, well, for the colors.😊 This is when I realized that my paper is too thin for the amount of water I used, never mind the amount I should have used.

For this one I tried to make it with soft pastel chalk, the right brush, a little bit of colored pencil and a smidge of water. Here it looks like all of this is more up in the air than the picture I was copying from. It could have something to do with the light red background that I gave the piece.

So that is what I did for this Sunday‘s post. Well, journal. I haven’t post a piece yet. I like the blue one a bit more, but the colorful one was the intended post, so I think that one will be posted today.

Oh, sad news and more proof that I need thicker paper to work with or just separated pages completely.

My potion drawing!!!!! 😭. Clearly I didn’t realized what I was doing at the time. Now that I think about, I was supposed to draw the tiger in pencil first. Maybe I was thinking that I would move to another page when I was ready to use the marker. Clearly I forgot that decision. 😭😭😭

The numbers are everywhere this week with my posts. Two posts from last week got eyeballs this week and once again I almost forgot about last week's Sunday post. So it got the banner position today. I wish we could move them. The photo used for banners. I would lower it so you could see their faces. Oh well. Let's get this party started.

Blue love on a Sunday. That's an interesting title.

A few people stopped by for a closer look, but only 6 thought it was worth adding to their collection. Odd people.

The dread of Monday.

It may not have been as bad as war, but I heard that work is killing a few of us. I tried to not have this be a simple photo. I wanted to doctor it and show that I did. Only 15 appreciated my efforts, but I appreciate all of them.

Rinse and repeat Tuesday.

The fractal layout is actually new, over all. I haven't done fully centered round fractals since I started to make fractals like 10 years ago, I think. I'll have to double check that. Anyway, I almost didn't render it because it wasn't a look I did, but then that is what made me do it anyway. You know I like to shake things up every now and again.

Breath, you are half way there Wednesday.

I thought that deserved some kind of celebration and who could beat a parade? I then saw these two girls while I was looking through what I had. I wasn't doing beauty shots of the main people at the time, so this was the best. That I could recall. I didn't take that many. You know I don't do people, 😏in photos.

The light is there... in the distance Thursday.

It seems that all my posts this week turned out to be upsets and most didn't know what do with me and my odd ball posts. I expected more faves for this post. It's good. I think. Is it the pink?

It's Friday but I still have to work?

I wanted to fade into the darkness too come Friday. I kept making mistakes. I couldn't get my head to do it's job. You? At least this post got some love. 25 faves. It was one of the only two that got more than 20 faves this week. The other was Shield.

Above I mentioned that some more love was shown for two past posts. Granted this has happened before. Recently. One of them was a 'Friday throw-away' that wants to rub in its greatness.

The next one was in @MichaelBilyk 's spotlight, so it had to get a few views from that.

As for what you might/should see tomorrow, I'm not going for a DA badge. I saw this, stupid simple, thing over at Instagram, and couldn't stop thinking about it, so I'm going to try it. I had to leave my house today, and one of the things on my list was to get some water colour paints. Maybe some of you will do your own and we'll have a bunch of them to show off to the world.

As some of you have already seen, and the rest of you will see soon, I got my hands on a new 'gif'/ 'emote' for thanking you. Actually, I think I found 3. Maybe.

Let's start off with the 'Honorable Mention' from Sunday.

Now we get to work. Monday.

This fractal had two renderings. One at what was my go-to size of 15000x12500 and it was looking like it was going to take over a day. So I stopped that and waited over a week, if not two or three before realizing that I had to real reason to render my fractals that big at the moment. So I figured that I could render this at a smaller size and if I needed it larger later I'll just re-render it when I had like two days to spear.

After surviving Monday we wake up to Tuesday.

Another from the archives. It feels like a window into the past at this point. I'm pretty sure that this view looks a bit different now. I'm sure the trees are still around, that was a bit of a selling point for the area, but in the distance I think there are more taller buildings now.

Now that you believe in work again, you have Wednesday to get through.

Something to brighten the day, and a bit different than what might be expected from me.

Now you are just getting sick of the grind, but there is a shimmer of the end on Thursday.

Before posting this photo, I went searching to see if I had already posted. I hadn't, which is great, since I have some great older photos that my current watchers won't see because I have a lot of back posts that I don't really expect too many people to dig into. But I did find a shot of this flower from another angle. Check the post to see the link.

Did you see it? When I stopped the first render of first fractal, I just got a partial fractal out of it, and it was huge enough for me to get this out of it. But I felt like messing with it a bit like I use to, and I came out with this. Even with posting it on a Friday, it made the 20 fave mark, so I think it would have done a bit better if it had been posted on another day. Oh well.

An now I 'rest' for a day-ish or so. I have the rest of my thank yous to send out, then tomorrow I'll be post the AI mishap.

Less colourful then what you greeted you on Monday, but it still get's your wheels turning by just looking at it. I think.

Somehow you ended up above the clouds with me. I was as surprised as you to find myself up there. But it does have a good view.

Now we start the descent. Thursday.

Speaking of Sunday's post, I forgot it was going to be something drawn so I haven't done anything all week. So I may post something different when the time comes. We will both see what that will be.
