List of Webcomics - Updated March 7th 2018

I plan on updating this as time goes by.

Well, a week or so back, today is May 31st 2012, a girl posted her journal about looking for, or to just let people know, about some yaoi online comics. That got me thinking a little. I felt like I have a good amount of them, but it turned out that I didn't have that much. So after giving her the links of the few that I had that were worth sharing, and finding out one or two I got through a subscription, I decided to go hunt down some more now that I'm on Summer break.

I've re-found a few and found out that I read other stuff besides yaoi. Shocker. That would be also why I had less to share with the girl that I thought. Anyway, I remember how she was suppose to update her list also, so I went looking for and feeling stupid at the same time for not having faved it.  

Well, I tried to find her journal, but for some reason, it's not popping up. I must be using the wrong search word. While I was searching for her, I found another girl that a little frustrated that she couldn't find any straight coups. She kept running into yaoi ones over at this site that seems to be in the business of hosting webcomics for scores of people.

I told her that I couldn't think of any off the top of my head. I have no yaoi comics, but that didn't mean had anywhere guys only kissed girls. So I told her that I will let her know about any good ones I come across to pay her back for the heads up on the webcomic site she shared.

So I'm making my own. There will be girl/guy ones. There will be guy/guy ones. There will 'my life' ones. No real couples there. Just people living out the hand that life gave them. There will be, 'my life on this side of the rainbow' ones. Slice of life stuff for non-normal or non-human people. Then there might be something that doesn't fit in any of them or covers all of them. They have their own section at the end. I'll try to give a bit more insight when I post the actual links. Let's get started shall well?

Web Comic Communities 

- Line Webtoon - www.webtoons.com/en/ - I just found out about this and it feels new like Tapastic, but they seem to point out how it's free and that there are a number of updates each and every day. It's a new place to look around. They have a wide variety of comics there and you bump into a few new ones that you will be happy to have found and a few older ones that you may already watch on Smack Jeeves or Tapastic, or somewhere else. 

- DA Yaoi Web Comics - yaoiwebcomics.deviantart.com/ - Let's start local shall we? On DA? Happy to stay on DA but feeling a bit out cut off from people who would appreciate your story & drawings? Well, try here for your yaoi/gay creation. 

- The Hiveworks Comics - www.thehiveworks.com/ - They were small, and have grown a bit since I first posted about them here. They have a great collection of webcomics and artists on their site. They do a few things a little differently that I'm sure most of you will appreciate. When you get to their website they can show you all that they have with these big square banners. If you don't feel like looking through all of them for something in your genre, you can filter them, but most seem to be very unique. Which is a very good thing. Also, they don't have a hiveworks.com address. They have their own as far as I have seen.

- The Duck Webcomics - theduckwebcomics.com - It is still going if the name rings an old and distant bell. They have a fair bit of comics. The only downside is that you have to sign up to do anything other than read. Even though it has an anonymous box that you can check, you still need to have an account to leave a comment. If you find enough there that you like, then it could be worth getting a new username and password.  

- Tapastic - tapastic.com - I have been hanging out here a lot lately. They just made a deal with and absorbed another web place called Webtoon Live. If you had a link to that site, it will now take you to Tapastic. I think it's a great place to host webcomics and it looks great on my phone. Very good mobile layout and favors long pages with large panels and words. If you are looking for a place to post, check them out. I'm not saying they will fit you, but it's worth looking at. All types to be found here. I'll be posting a few later down below. I signed in with my facebook account. 

- Smack Jeeves Webcomic Hosting - www.smackjeeves.com - I'm sure most of you know of them. They have every kind of webcomic there and expanding every day. They have been losing a few comics that were too explicit. I don't know it's only sexually explicit or violently explicit too. Most of them got their own site after being warned or kicked out of there. So it has been more than a hot minute since all that and they have now updated their look. It looks good. Kinda like Tapastic and Webtoon. But it makes sense. They are rivals after all. 

On Hiatus - Comic Genesis - www.comicgenesis.com - This one is much more artist-run. They call it a 'user-generated comic site'. They do have up to date comics there. I also think they could use some exposure. I believe that it would prompt them to update parts of their site and allow other good comics to be found and/or posted there. UPDATE - This site seems to only have one comic there now, but they have a link for anyone wanting to add their comic t the site, so it can grow later. That is the only reason I'm leaving it here. 

- ComicFury Webcomic Hosting - comicfury.com/index.php - I don't know much about it, but it's very large, it's ad-free and free to use. It was also found on a list of the top 4 Best Free Webcomic hosting site list. I have the other three listed here also, but I just found that list.  


- The Slash Pile - theslashpile.tumblr.com/lgbtqw… - Ok, you have your LGBT comic posted somewhere and your site looks great, but you need to get the word out. Or you are looking for new or lost link to a LGBT comic. This is your stop for both. You can also leave recommendations for anything you find there, or have found on your own. LGBT books, webcomics, or movies. 

Girl/Guy

New - Love Not Found - www.lovenotfound.com/comic/cha… -  This is a story about a young woman living in a time when touching has become outdated. She has recently moved to a new planet and finds that touching might not be such a bad idea. Now she wants to find someone who likes things the old-fashioned way! I have been reading this for a while and even though I gave you a link to Hiveworks Comics, I feel I should point this one out to you. It is an m/f love story, but it has turns everywhere in a place where things are bit different when it comes to love and touching is not something done. 

- Alien Dice - aliendice.com/comic/05162001/ - My first in this section. Now. This is an interesting one. The lady, Tiffany Ross, has been working and updating this webcomic since May of 2oo1. There's dedication for you. Since she has a life, it's not as long as one would think, but it's not all that short either and her latest post went up a day or so ago. So still very active. Now, this has a SciFi twist, so bear that in mind. Oh, and her drawing skills aren't the greatest for the first few years, but she gets better. The story was so good that I had to read it all. Speaking of reading, she also writes out all the scenes that she draws. So if you rather read the story with some pics to help guide you, then you have it.

Stop by and give her a chance. Oh, ignore some of the few comments I posted. ... just don't bother with them at all.

On Hiatus -The Spectre and Archangel - tapastic.com/series/The-Spectr… - This is a webcomic from my friend ErsbethShadowsong that takes place, or at least starts in, the game universe of Mass Effect II, but there is a twist. Of course. Shepard is a female. Yep. All the girl parts and she has a male love interest. Go ahead, guess who. I'll give you time. Did you come up with Garrus? You see how this became interesting right? Well if you know the game then it became interesting to you. I never had any contact with the game before now, but I like sci-fi stuff. I like, to some degree, human/alien relationships, so I gave it shot. I'm very glad I did. If you have such interests yourself, this one could be worth your time. If not, pass it on to someone you think might like it. UPDATE - On hiatus. I'll let you know when it comes back. The 'gone fishing sign' is now up.

Guy/Guy

NEW - The Elduin and Donestan Chronicles - trickster-book.com/lostinthesn… - The Elduin and Donestan chronicles is an erotic Yaoi/BL webcomic drawn by Japanese female artist, Velvet Toucher. I found this ages ago and then forgot about when it went on a long hiatus. I just found it again today/tonight and had to post it once I saw that it was up and running again. Full on 'R' rating for this one. 

UPDATE - Snakeblade Comic - www.deviantart.com/snakebladec… - The story of Snakeblade is set on the world of Dale. There we find magic and mages and gay love and just about all of them are illegal. UPDATE - It is unknown as to why the maker of this comic no longer has a working website or why they stopped posting, but they also had a DA account, so all the pages to their comic can still be found there. It's a shame it wasn't finished. 

NEW - Avialae - yaoi.biz/avialae/chapter-1/pag… - An out of the closet high school boy who was just trying to live his life and perhaps get a new boyfriend finds out that there was far more to learn about himself when he started to grow wings. 

Completed - Buying Time - buyingtime.webcomic.ws - I'm saddened and dismayed that I never shared this. It's a flash based comic, so you will have to install flash to see it. It has flashing lights, it has transitions and each little update is called a page. It ended in January of 2018 so the whole story is there for you read without having to wait on the next bit. It feels like the future, but almost nothing of the past is talked about. It didn't go to where I was hoping it would, but that is not a reason to put off reading it. I keep talking myself out of deleting their bookmark, but now that it's here I can. Oh, besides the sex, there are... yes, I said sex. And cyborgs.

 - Transfusion - transfusionscomic.com/comic/01… - I have lived, lived on this site for like 2 years at least, and I had to reset my iPad and I lost it since I always had it open in one of my tabs in my browser. Then I find out I never bookmarked it. How could I have done this to myself? I'm going to just copy the owner's words here now. "Transfusions is a BL (boy love) webcomic. It's a story about young media student Dylan and vampire Joa, who died in the 80's. Despite the rough start with threatening and snarking their relationship will develop from cute awkwardness to a beautiful romance." If you haven't found this without my help, you have it now. Go. Go!

- Reversions - tapas.io/episode/85105 - I just have assurances that the very cute main guy ends up with another guy that he first sees kissing someone else and the drawing is amazing. Also, I'm helping to beta the webcomic. FYI - I'm no longer involved with this project. 

Complete - 14 Nights - 14nights.kstipetic.com - Not what I thought. Granted I wasn't thinking anything since I barely skimmed over the 'about' page. But it's there with KhaosKomix as in there are some heavy thoughts being sorted out and understood and to a large degree accepted. The reason it's not literally down there with Khaoskomix, is because this story is centered around only one couple, and for the most part, they are gay. 

- Starfighter - starfightercomic.com/index.php - I found this awhile ago, then lost the link and/or forgot about it. I was glad when I found it again. Very gay. Not for kids. But it has a great Sci-Fi thing going for it. Boys in space.

Killed! - Teahouse - www.teahousecomic.com/ - Any real yaoi girl worth her salt should have found this already. But you could be a bit slow like me, or just busy. So here is your official invite. Epic. That's all. Epic. It has come to an odd end. Click the link to read what the creators have to say.

Complete - Artifice - webcomics.yaoi911.com/ - They call it a 'gay sci-fi webcomic' and they are right it is. But that still didn't prepare me for what I found myself in. The site has other things that you have to subscribe to get. www.yaoi911.com/ Like three other stories and some nice wallpaper. I have one of two boys ... fighting on my iPad.

- The Young Protectors - webcomics.yaoi911.com/archive/… - This is from the same people as Artifice and this one is very ongoing. I think they started it a few months ago because it's near the start, but it's a great time to get in it now and have the bragging rights of saying you were there from the start. Oh, click on the archive to start at the beginning. FYI - It has been years. This story has been going on for years. It will be long read to get caught up. Enjoy the ride. 

UPDATE - Katio Shuno AKA Seafoam Diary - First Part - Continuation - The drawing isn't that great at the start, but the story kept me there. It's funny, sexy and surprising at times. And once in a while, it get's dark. Her skill grows and grows as the comic continues. She has a new website, her fourth move I think and her first few pages are very pretty and very well done. She also decided to change the name of the comic. It's now Seafoam Diary. I don't know why. 

Complete - Honeydew Syndrome - honeydew.smackjeeves.com/ I keep forgetting to come back to this. I found this one a long time ago and I found it again while searching for new ones. It's set now, in high school, of course, but I think how the boys get together is new. It takes a while before anything really happens, maybe that is why I lost the link, but then, I think my browser just crashed that day and I never found it again.

Complete - Snow & Red - snowred.smackjeeves.com/comics… Very gay and very nice and short so it's complete. This is what I expected when I picked up a book called gay tales. You should like this too.

DEAD? - Gray Scale - fourfears.com/?p=13 I took a long time to click the link to check this out. I'm sorry that I did and happy that I didn't at the same time. It's a great comic, but it's so close to the start. I am very mindful of their update day.  They seem to be off more than on. They are once again in an extended hiatus. The third they are in since I've found it. And they can last from anywhere from 5 months to over a year. Enjoy at your own risk. 

- Starseed - starseedcomic.com/ You might have already found this one if you went to one of my other links. This was a link on there and I like it. It reminds of old woodcut printing.

Complete - The Less Than Epic Adventure - tjandamal.com/ - I have read it all. It's a great story and it may seem a little slow at times, but I think it's at a real-world pace. This site comes with info and links to other webcomics. 

My Life

New/Completed - The Element of Surprise - www.misterkitty.org/comics/ele… - In an unnamed city in an unnamed state somewhere in America's"rust belt", two men meet. Mark, an overmodest young carpenter, comes to the aid of Ben, an overconfident reporter for the city's newspaper; soon Mark finds himself drawn into the crime and vice of local politics while simultaneously, unwillingly, falling in love with Ben.

HIATUS - Real Life Comics - www.reallifecomics.com/index.h… - Here is another oldie of mine. I started reading this like 8+ years ago and the boy is still going. I say boy, but I watched him get married on the strip. I think he has a kid now. I stopped reading a few years ago when life got in the way. Besides some odd moments and his friend trying to take over the world, he has a normal life that he makes funny. It's like Seinfeld online.

Compleated - Let's Speak English - www.marycagle.com/letsspeakeng… - We are in Japan and seeing bits of the life of an American, or is she Canadian, living in Japan and has the job of teaching English to little kids. It's all very sweet and funny and you learn a few things. Like knife has an 'n' sound. I just knew it started with a 'k', so it never crossed my mind that there shouldn't be a 'k' or it should have a 'k' sound. go figure. WRAPPING UP - She is going home and leaving Japan. She has a few small strips left to post that will most likely be about her settling back in back home in Texas, but then it will be over. She has two other comics. I know nothing about them other than one is called Sleepless Domain and Kiwi Blitz.

My Life On This Side Of The Rainbow

New - Cato's Apprenticeship - cato.thecomicseries.com/comics… - In this story, we live in space. We follow the misadventures of a young boy called Cato. He may or may not have a learning disability and was implanted with could be a defective learning or teaching chip. His mother is a stern captain that gets no real respect from. Then he get's himself lost when she tried to keep him safe. 

- Prague Race- www.praguerace.com/ - I have gone on few, scant few, emotional rides when reading comics and this one sent me up and down and around to do it all back over again. I haven't a clue where she is going to go next. If you think your heart can take a number of strings being pulled at it give it a try. It's nowhere near new, so you will have a good bit of the story to read before you catch up with the new updates. Also, she pulls from a wide array of sources so you may see something that you recognize. I only saw like two, but you will see a few from time to time talked about in the comments.

Hiatus - Conchord - bramblebush-productions.com/co… - Here is one I found earlier this year, then lost, then found again. It's still going. A bit slower than I would have liked, but I think they are picking up again. No couples are stated yet, but a marriage has been arranged. I'm hoping the brother ends up with the cute blue guy. The sign says 'hiatus' but the seeing as the last post was 3 years ago, I'm going with dead until I'm proved otherwise. It had such promise that I'm very sad to realize that it's 'gone'. 

- The Din - dincomic.com - Here is something interestingly new. I do not like the paranoia that was shown in the last few pages, but we hope, I hope, he gets a deserving death. But that is beside the point. I hate giving plots away so I'm not sure of what to say here other than it's not modern day and it's along a path to a future that I don't think many would expect. 

- Sfeer Theory - sfeertheory.littlefoolery.com/… - Interesting fellow. He is gay, I think, but that seems to just be something of a note and has no great effect on the story, that I have read yet. Now, magic is something of a science and like anywhere with magic, they have the look of just entering the instinctual age. A very, very well done comic with great drawings.

- Strays - www.straysonline.com/ - I just found it and really, really like it. It's drawing style reminds of someone else, but for some reason, I can't place it. It'll come back to me.   Enjoy. I have nothing to say about this one. You have to go read it yourself. Just some blood to be worried about. But what else would you expect from magical werewolves?

- Grim Tales - grim.snafu-comics.com/?comic_i… - I almost feel ashamed that I forgot about this. I must be like 2 years, 2 YEARS!, behind. This is a level of fanfiction that never crossed our minds. This guy is a genius. Genius I tell you. Get some popcorn, some water and settle into your comfy chair for this one.

- Chaotic Nation - chaoticnation.smackjeeves.com/… This one I wasn't sure about. As in where to place it. I think it belongs here. No real couples, gay or otherwise, and there are non-human things and magic, kinda, so I guess I picked right. Ok, so, go have a look. Liking kingdoms and sword fights and some magic would be a good thing here.  

I'm Just Different For Some Reason

- Oh Joy Sex Toy - A sex toy comic - www.ohjoysextoy.com - I'm sure you already have bells going off from the name alone. At least you know why it's in this section. The lady that makes this, is the author of another comic that I read, that I haven't listed here, named Oh Human Star, and she started this up. I was just thinking that it has things that no one is talking about, or even knows about. Also, I like how she shows all body types in her comic. The couples she uses run the gamut from straight, to lesbian and gay and whatever you may find in between.

- Tokyo Demons - www.tokyodemons.com/ - This is the site that made me make this section. A girl that has an interesting secret, but the plot isn't why it's here. One, they have audio. Yeah, they have people reading different parts of the story on the audio page. They also have it as a written story. Also, you can buy the book with some pictures in it. Something that all the good webcomics are doing this day. Publishing that is. I'm waiting for more audio. I'm reading everything else. BTW, they have Youtube files also.

Completed - KhaosKomix - www.khaoskomix.com/komix/steve… I have been holding this one back because it was so odd. It's ... I wonder how much to say wouldn't give anything away. It's great. You have to read it. Once you are up for any mix of humans, it's a great long story. Just keep hitting the next button once you get there. The links on the side will make sense to you later. UPDATE - I thought it was a girl doing this, then I found out it's a guy. Well, he has something called Discord Comics now. This link is redirected to that page now. You will see that he has added a few more comics to the five stories that make up KhaosKomix.
